WHEN:
Saturday, February 8th, 2014 - 7PM Sign In
Mountain bike race at Roanoke Park in KCMO. The trails will be covered in snow and these trails are known to get pretty technical. Experienced riders only. This shouldn't be your first time on the trails and it certainly shouldn't be your first time riding a mountain bike at night. Dress warm and bring that bright-as-fuck trail light that you spent too much on.
Ride within your limits. There will be a few road crossings that we will have someone watching, but still be weary of cars passing. The race will be between 3 or 4 laps of the planned course.
COST:
Free to race. Free to spectate.
WHICH BIKE:
Mountain bikes. Preferably of the fat variety. If you bring a cross bike, have fun shouldering that bitch and running the entire race.
START:
Sign up will be at DB Coopers on 39th. We will then group ride to the trail head.
Again, if you aren't familiar with the area we are riding, Google it. Don't be stupid.
PRIZES:
Maybe some beer? Maybe nothing? DFL will get a shitty used bike part.
AFTERPARTY:
Also DB Coopers.
